Name the candle, test yourself
Re-reading a cheat sheet doesn't stick — recalling it yourself does. Below you'll see a candle chart and pick what pattern it is, or whether it's bullish or bearish. Answer and you find out at once whether you're right and why. About 9 questions a round.
🔒 A front-end quiz that collects nothing; your score isn't uploaded. The diagrams are accurate hand-drawn shapes; real patterns are usually fuzzier.
Why testing beats reading once
When you read a cheat sheet you feel like you've got it, but close the sheet and in a live chart it slips — because "understanding" and "recalling" are two different things. This quiz forces active recall: you see the shape, answer in your head first, then check. That sticks far better than re-reading. Getting one wrong is fine too — one miss plus one read of the explanation often beats ten right answers.
What to do after the quiz
The diagrams here are "textbook-pretty" so the faces are easy to learn. But real patterns are mostly ambiguous, so the next step is to find them on a real chart. Open OKX, scroll the daily back, and try to pick out the patterns you just learned one by one — it has a free demo account, so you can just watch (no orders) and tally for yourself how accurate they really are.
This quiz only trains you to "learn the faces". Recognising a pattern doesn't mean it'll rise or fall when it shows up — a pattern is odds, not a signal, and has to be read with position, volume and timeframe. Crypto swings hard, and contracts with leverage can wipe out all of your capital. Everything here is education, not investment advice.
Got most of them? Now find them on a real chart
The diagrams here are the tidy version; real patterns are fuzzier. OKX lets you scroll candle history freely and has a free demo account, so you can hunt for patterns and watch how accurate they are with virtual funds — without spending a cent.
